Abstract. The article considers the form of tasks transferring literary knowledge through their formulations that can help the future philologist - foreign language speaker understand the deeper meaning of a literary text. Cognitive-substantial component turns a task into a key, tool showing the meaning of what is important to find in order to clarify oneself in the main.
