POSSIBILITIES OF STUDENTS’ COGNITIVE COMPETENCE FORMATION WHILE TEACHING MATHEMATICS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the problem of non-mathematical specialities students’ cognitive competence formation while teaching mathematics. The definition of the notion "cognitive competence" is given, the main cognitive competence components are considered, some conditions and peculiarities of this competence formation in the institution of higher education are shown. Special attention is paid to the possibilities of the formation of students’ general and specific cognitive activity techniques while teaching mathematical subjects.
