SPECIFICITY OF PHILOSOPHY: ELABORATION OF SCIENTIFIC DEFINITION

Submitted: 20.09.2018
Abstract. The article elaborates the scientific conception of philosophy specificity. According to it: 1) philosophy is divided into opposite equal types - absolutist and scientific; 2) philosophers-absolutists have a controversial attitude to philosophy as the most important activity for the man and the society, the significance of which is determined by the absolute status of its subject; 3) for the representatives of scientific philosophy their work is less emotionally sublime, but more rationally in-depth study of worldview problems as containing particular relationship of the man and the "absolute" that is taken as a problem (unclear notion), but not the reality (superhuman or of some human property).
Key words and phrases: специфика философии, двуединство философии, абсолютистский тип философствования, научный тип философствования, абсолют как реальность, абсолют как проблема, specificity of philosophy, dual unity of philosophy, absolutist type of philosophy, scientific type of philosophy, absolute as reality, absolute as problem
