Development of a System of Exercises and Test Tasks on the Assimilation of Metaphorical Models of the PATRIOTISM Concept for the Chinese Audience

Abstract. The aim of the work is to develop a system of exercises for mastering the PATRIOTISM concept through the analysis of its metaphorical models. The article highlights the methodological foundations of the work of the Chinese students-philologists of TORFL-3 in the course of analysing the models of the Russian political metaphor of the PATRIOTISM concept. The scientific originality of the research is due to the fact that for the first time a linguodidactic approach was formulated in teaching Russian as a foreign language to the Chinese audience through understanding the abstractness of specific lexemes meanings (for example "patriotism"). As a result, after testing the author’s program of RFL in the course of an ascertaining experiment among the Chinese students of philology, on the basis of the results obtained, a system of exercises and test tasks based on materials from Russian newspapers was developed; this system is designed to promote better understanding of the features of modern Russian political discourse by foreigners.
