Experimental Work on Forming Future Elementary School Teachers’ Professional Competences in the Process of Teaching Higher Mathematics

Abstract. The paper aims to justify reasonability of introducing higher mathematics elements in the course of elementary mathematics teaching methods for bachelor students. The article examines difficulties of compiling the course "Theory and Technologies of Elementary Mathematical Education" for bachelor students of "Pedagogical Education" training area (profile "Elementary Education"). Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the authors reveal the usage of higher mathematics elements in cultural-historical and applied aspects of training future elementary school teachers. The research findings are as follows: the authors justify possibilities of high-quality formation of elementary school teachers’ professional competences.
