CRITERIA AND LEVELS OF NON-LINGUISTIC STUDENTS’ AUTONOMOUS EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE STUDY

Abstract. The article considers educational motivation, educational autonomy and lexical competence as the criteria of non-linguistic students’ educational activity in foreign vocabulary assimilation. Analysing psychological and pedagogical literature on the problem of educational autonomy developing, practice of foreign language teaching at non-linguistic higher education establishments, Federal State Educational Standards of Non-linguistic Higher Education the author identifies and characterizes three levels of autonomous educational activity for each criterion.
