FATALISM AND PERMISSIVENESS. oPPOSITION OF FATALISM AND FREEDOM

Gadzhikurbanov Aslan Gusaevich
Lomonosov Moscow State University

Abstract. The classical tradition in ethics postulates the alternativeness of moral choice. In this sense moral freedom turns to be principally inconsistent with the traditional idea of fatalism. At the same time the experience of the history of moral doctrines, in particular ethics by Spinoza, shows that predetermination and freedom don’t exclude each other at all. Moreover the most rigid version of fatalism results in an unexpected consequence - the principal permissiveness while fulfilling moral deeds.
