Abstract. This article deals with the organization of nutrition in the schools of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug in the second half of the 1960s - the first half of the 1980s. It analyzes achievements and difficulties of the local authorities related to providing schools with canteen rooms, furniture and tableware, creating normal sanitary and hygienic conditions in canteens, as well as in the field of children’s nutrition. The author comes to the conclusion about incompleteness of the formation of the resource base of the school canteens of the region, the presence of problems of children’s nutrition in Yugra during the period under review.
