Abstract. The paper aims to record the position of the Slavic microlanguage, which has been strengthening in recent years, formed by the dialects of the inhabitants of Czech Silesia and in no way coinciding with the “Silesian” language of Polish Silesia (Czech ‘slezština’, Polish ‘język śląski’, German ‘Wasserpolnisch’). The study is novel in that it is the first to use the material of the travelogue published in printed form by the famous modern Ostrava blogger and writer L. Větvička, whose creative work is focused on this Slavic microlanguage, to analyse the vocabulary of the said microlanguage. Therefore, all the results of this study have been obtained for the first time. These results are the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of thirty lexical units of the Lach (Czech-Silesian = Ostrava) microlanguage, which we found in the specified travelogue.
Key words and phrases: славянские микроязыки, ляшский язык, остравский язык, чешско-силезский язык, Slavic microlanguages, Lach language, Ostrava language, Czech-Silesian language
