ZOOLOGICAL CODE OF CULTURE IN THE SLANG OF THE US MILITARY PERSONNEL

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the zoological cultural code in the vocabulary and phraseology of the informal communication language of the professional group of the US military personnel. The author studies the linguistic units that have the component - a name of the animal in the slang of the armed forces representatives in the linguoculturological aspect and singles out the concepts MAN, ARMAMENT AND MILITARY EQUIPMENT, UNIFORM AND DISTINCTIVE INSIGNIA, MILITARY ACTIONS, EVERYDAY ACTIVITY, FOODSTUFFS, which form the basis of the zoological code in the military subculture and allow identifying the peculiarities of the worldview of the armed forces representatives and its reflection in the language.
