FUNCTIONING OF EPONYMOUS TERMS IN ENCYCLOPEDIC ARTICLES OF MEDICAL CHARACTER

Abstract. The article reveals the functioning of eponymous terms in encyclopedic medical texts in order to determine the development of clinical disciplines, the diagnostic process of thinking, as well as the formation of terminological competence of medical students. In this article, the author considers 78 terms-eponyms of a medical character in different languages, and determines that eponymous terms are prominent in medical terminology and play a significant role in the mastering of medical specialties.
