Knyazev Sergei Vladimirovich
Lomonosov Moscow State University

Abstract. The article is devoted to the analysis of the phonological status of soft postdorsal consonants in the modern Russian literary language. The author considers the syntagmatic arguments in favor of recognizing these consonants as independent phonemes, and comes to the conclusion that the decision about the phonological interpretation of soft postdorsals, at least in terms of the Moscow phonological school, can only be made on the basis of the phonemic structure of the dictionary of signs.
Key words and phrases: русский язык, фонетика, фонология, синтагматика, мягкие заднеязычные согласные, the Russian language, phonetics, phonology, syntagmatics, soft postdorsal consonants
