ANIMALS AS OBJECT OF VIOLENCE IN THE WORKS BY MARTIN MCDONAGH

Kirichenko Dmitrii Arturovich
Taurida National V. I. Vernadsky University

Abstract. The article presents a detailed analysis of animal images in the texts by Martin Mcdonagh. Importance of these personages in the writer’s works is typical not for a certain text but it manifests itself as one of the artistic peculiarities of his dramaturgy. On the basis of the events associated with animals the writer thinks over the topical problem of our time: why, having deep and sincere affection towards animals, a human being brutally kills his own kind.
