MYSTICAL MOTIVES AND IMAGES OF SACRED IN L. ANDREEV'S CREATIVITY

Abstract. The author analyzes the literary creativity of L. N. Andreev, his prose Judas Iscariot and Satan's Diary, the dramas Savva and Dog Waltz, reveals the elements of sacred, as well as the features of sacraments and mysterial theater in these works, and shows that the study of this writer's direction allows shedding light on the features of artistic creativity at the turn of the XIXth-XXth centuries.
