QUALITY ASSURANCE FOR RESEARCH IN MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING

Abstract. The components of the daily quality control of research in magnetic resonance imaging are considered. The necessity of using standard operating procedures including those for the monitoring of cryogenic system is shown. The procedure of the visual inspection of equipment performed by the laboratory assistant is described. The estimation of central frequency variations and the coefficient of radio-frequency radiation gain by the results of scanning the phantom according to the approved protocol is carried out.
