Issue of Forming Ethnocultural Identity in Actors by Means of Music

Abstract. The study aims to consider formation of ethnocultural identity in student actors by means of the Russian folk song and romance. Scientific novelty of the work lies in addressing a new perspective of this sociocultural issue, in considering influence of various genres of folk song and classical romance on formation of the ethnocultural component in the personality of students pursuing a degree in "Actor’s Art" as a part of the subject "Music Education of the Drama Theatre and Film Actor". As a result, it is proved that the main properties and structural components of ethnocultural identity can be formed under the influence of the features that characterise musical semantics of folk song and romance genres.
