Contradictions between Developed Capitalist Countries and Developing Countries in the Context of Globalisation

Abstract. The study aims to determine nature and specificity of contradictions between developed and developing countries in the context of globalisation, as well as its role in expanding the ability of rich countries in the West to control the world’s natural resources, advanced technologies and financial flows, thus deepening backwardness of poor countries in the South. Scientific novelty of the study lies in conducting a comprehensive analysis of the methods used by global power centres to subdue weak countries. As a result, it is proved that income gap between rich and poor countries in the modern world will steadily widen, which will lead to growth of the protest movement in developing countries and international tensions.
