Heavenly World of Childhood

Abstract. The paper aims to reveal the eudemonistic aspect of childhood as a special sociocultural phenomenon. The article examines the basic parameters of the child’s world, which manifest themselves in three spheres of the child’s existence: ideal world of nature; realm of consciousness; the child’s personal space - the other reality. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author analyses literary interpretations of the childhood phenomenon and introduces the notion "paradise", which is considered as an axiological and existential component of the child’s world, into philosophical and culturological discourse. The conducted research allows identifying essential foundations of the child’s "personal paradise" as a cultural and historical phenomenon.
