Formation and Development of Material and Technical Basis of Donbass TV and Radio Companies in the 1950-1980s

Abstract. The article examines the problem of developing material and technical basis of Donbass TV and radio companies in the 1950-1980s. The paper aims to analyse the key factors that influenced the development and improvement of the regional TV and radio broadcasting in the Soviet period. The author concludes that in the eastern regions of the Ukrainian SSR, the problems of renewing material and technical basis of TV and radio companies remained unsolved, this circumstance hampered considerably the process of the regional TV and radio broadcast formation in the 1980s.
