Relevance of Pedagogical Model of the Russian neo-Kantianism (S. I. Hessen and F. A. Stepun)

Abstract. The article examines pedagogical theory formation in domestic neo-Kantian philosophy of the end of the XIX - the first third of the XX century. Special attention is paid to S. I. Hessen’s conception of moral education based on the individual approach in pedagogy: from preschool to extracurricular stage. The author identifies similarity of S. I. Hessen’s and F. A. Stepun’s views on the issue of realization of freedom of creativity under conditions of institutional education. Finally, the paper analyses the possibility of implementing the pedagogical model of the Russian neo-Kantianism within the framework of the information society.
