Problem of Iterativity and Cyclicity of Historical Process: Socio-Philosophical Analysis

Abstract. The paper reveals the role of cyclicity and iterativity in historical process. Socio-philosophical and historical-philosophical aspects of the problem are analysed, modern approaches are examined. The author considers iterativity as a system of views and methodological approaches, provides examples of historic recurrence in the context of modelling the global historical process. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the researcher differentiates the notions "iterativity" and "cyclicity" and proposes this conditional dichotomy as an alternative to the traditional schematic conception "historical cyclicity". The research findings are as follows: the author proves that iterativity is an inherent and essential feature of historical cyclicity and outlines prospects for further studies in this area.
