Abstract. The article considers "the end of history" conception developed by the outstanding modern political scientist and philosopher Francis Fukuyama. The study is based on narratological notions, conceptions and methods. Fukuyama’s model of global historical process is subjected to a narratological analysis. The researcher’s attention is focused on the story structure and the story conflict. The research findings allow revealing contradiction between the notion "the end of history" and actual incompleteness of historical process. The conclusions are extrapolated to other philosophical and historical conceptions containing "the end of history" notion.
