THEORETICAL MODEL OF RESTORATION OF BARDZRAKASH MONASTERY COMPLEX OF THE X-XIII CENTURIES

Abstract. In the article, a restoration model of Bardzrakash monastery complex is presented. The original conception is based on the analysis of the building ruins, measurement data, photofixation and descriptions. The chronologically and territorially close monuments in Goshavank, Haghartsin and Haghpat have served as analogues for the reconstruction of the lost elements. The solutions of the eastern and western facades of the small church are suggested, the tholobate and dome shapes are substantiated, the contours of the western and eastern facades of Surp Astvatsatsin church are determined, and a hypothesis regarding the nature of the completion of the main part of the monastery gavit is put forward. The peculiarities of the monastery planning organization are revealed.
