Abstract. Technological progress is interpreted as the history of panopticism - the development of all-seeing and omniscience mechanisms intended to study human life. Panopticism practices evolutionized from pagan priests-oracles to gadgets-palantirs, which nowadays penetrate social space. New algorithms, providing numerous benefits, have their negative effects. Artificial intelligence systems can be a panacea or the humanity’s last invention. Panopticism in its radical form can create human-unfriendly environment. Transparent palantirization world leads to dehumanization of the humanity.
