Abstract. The article discusses the most significant, landmark stages of modern philosophical hermeneutics formation in its contextual dialogue with aesthetic discourse. In particular, the formation of the concept "genius recipient" is being studied in the context of the romantic trend of the XVIII century, which formed a new hermeneutic model of a reader’s creative dialogue with the text. Paradoxes of modern aesthetics in their connection with current hermeneutic practices, as well as artistic and aesthetic ways of overcoming various cultural texts fragmentation are analysed separately. The authors conclude that there are many historical and modern ways of interaction between aesthetics and hermeneutics that enrich both philosophical discourses.
