ONTOLOGICAL AND GNOSEOLOGICAL POTENTIAL OF C. SCHMITT’S CONCEPTION OF THE POLITICAL IN THE CONDITIONS OF MODERN GLOBALISM

Abstract. The article is devoted to the study of the ontological and gnoseological aspects of the concept "political", which received the greatest development in the political philosopher C. Schmitt’s works. Considering, first of all, the normative-institutional aspect of the conception under study, the author attempts to analyse modern multipolar political reality from the perspective of the explanatory model of the political by C. Schmitt. In addition to a high gnoseological potential, the topicality of turning to C. Schmitt’s works is also caused by the tendency to return to the institutional constructs of the classical period at the moment of disappointment over post-structuralist discourse that is not capable of creating effective theoretical models.
