INTERPRETATION OF THEATRICAL THEME IN GRADUATION WORKS OF ILYA GLAZUNOV ACADEMY STUDENTS

Abstract. The article for the first time examines the interpretation of the theatrical theme in the graduation works of the Faculty of Painting of Ilya Glazunov Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture within the chronological framework of the end of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century. The pictures are analysed from the perspective of realistic school taking into account the author’s individual style. Justifying multi-component integrity of authors’ methodologies, imaginative and meaningful decisions, the paper concludes that synthesized nature of artistic language is an important characteristic of modern creativity within the realistic trend.
