Abstract. The article is devoted to analysing systemic models of meaning formation, which take a form of multi-meaningful constructions and combine visual and mental space of a performance in the context of theatrical art. Identifying four types of meaning formation within the vectors of myth-creation and performativity, including allegoric and mysterial levels of a viewer’s perception, contributes to ascertaining the dominating aesthetics of a theatrical event: metaphorical (poetical), post-dramatic and post-modernist. Studying the mental sphere of a performance, which is equivalent to a cognitive process, broadens considerably the framework of theatrological analysis.
