MILITARY SPORTS COMPETITIONS OF THE 1960S "SNOW LANDING OPERATION" AS A NEW MECHANISM OF IDEOLOGICAL INFLUENCE ON THE YOUTH (BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE TATAR ASSR)

Abstract. The article reveals the motives to develop new mechanisms of the Soviet youth control in the 1960s, which included military sports competitions "Snow Landing Operation". Due to the complicated domestic and foreign political situation, the young people gradually began to abandon the Soviet system of values. Overt pressure and a system of prohibitions could aggravate the gap between the government and the youth, that’s why this form of work was introduced. This movement was initiated by Komsomol, which still remained the basic instrument to implement the party decisions.
