LEITMOTIF IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THE DRAMA THEATER

Abstract. The article deals with the leitmotif as a component of the performance in the drama theater. In the course of the study, the peculiarities of the leitmotif, primarily its functions, location and the means of the stage language, which are used to create this part of the performance composition, are identified. The relevance and novelty of the research are in the proposed classification of leitmotifs and in the expansion of the ideas about the leitmotif as a constructive and meaningful factor in the drama theater. The results of the research will be useful for researchers and practitioners of the theater, as well as for teachers of theatrical higher education establishments in courses on the theater theory and seminars on the analysis of the performance.
