CREATIVITY OF THE CONTEMPORARY MONGOLIAN ARTIST B. CHOGSOM: THE PROBLEM OF THE ARTIST’S INDIVIDUAL STYLE FORMATION

Abstract. The article is devoted to studying the creative method of the contemporary Mongolian artist Badamzhavin Chogsom. The authors consider three main lines that form the individual style of this artist, namely: Russian realistic school, traditional Mongolian painting and the traditions of French post-impressionism. Attention is focused on the main features of the artist’s individual style, among which colour and rhythm are the main composition load. The paper analyzes three works by B. Chogsom: "Wrestling", "The Song of the Gobi", "Taikhar chuluu".
