THE ORGAN IN NON-ACADEMIC MUSICAL PRACTICE. THE ORGAN AND ROCK MUSIC

Abstract. The article raises the problem of deacademization of organ music, which had lofty goals in the past and solved serious artistic problems. Deviation from the divine direction of the organ sounding is most noticeable in the field of rock music, where in the mainstream of Neo-Baroque, Neo-Gothic, art-rock movements the organ is used in a new quality. The author reveals the main types of rock compositions, in which it is involved (religious-mystical, psychedelic, negative-destructive); other ways of the organ deacademization (transcriptions of rock compositions, free-expressive performance of classical organ works).
