FACTORS AND CONDITIONS FOR INTEGRATION OF THE CAUCASIAN COMMUNITIES OF CENTRAL AND NORTH-EASTERN CAUCASUS INTO THE RUSSIAN STATE AND LEGAL FIELD IN THE XVIII CENTURY

Abstract. The article substantiates that during the process of the Russian-mountain interaction in the XVIII century the factors and circumstances of the integration of the mountain communities into the Russian state and legal field were the continuation of the foreign-policy struggle for the Caucasus, the unstable regional ethno-political situation, and different "stage" levels of the subjects of the Russian-mountain relationship. Under these conditions, the prospects of the Caucasian peoples’ integration into Russia turned out to be complicated and associated with many long-term problems and difficulties.
