FOOD SUPPLY PROBLEM IN EVERYDAY LIFE OF EUROPE’S CIVIL POPULATION UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF THE SECOND WORLD WAR: THE USSR, GERMANY, GREAT BRITAIN (COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS)

Abstract. The article is devoted to analysing the food situation in the USSR, Germany and Great Britain in the years of the Second World War. The author describes the basic measures taken by the European powers to supply the population with food under difficult war conditions and examines the difficulties they faced when solving this problem. The emphasis is made on the peculiarities of the fixed allowance of food in the mentioned countries, which served as a key element of their social policy.
