Comparative analysis of interdisciplinary and literary thematic quizzes (on the example of events held by the Department of Foreign Languages of the Siberian State Automobile and Road University)

Abstract. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of how to organize and conduct an interdisciplinary thematic quiz, comparing it to a literary quiz as a way to encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities at a technical university. The article presents various types of tasks that were created by the authors of the article for the described event, their specificity is revealed depending on the type of quiz. The results of the survey of the participants of the conducted quiz are analyzed in order to assess the degree of effectiveness of such events. The scientific novelty of the research lies in determining the specifics of conducting an interdisciplinary quiz at a technical university, as well as identifying the features that distinguish it from a literary quiz. As a result, it was determined that this form of extracurricular activities is effective for the development of general cultural competencies of students.
