The introduction of content and language integrated learning of Russian as a foreign language in educational institutions of secondary vocational education: Justification of the need

Abstract. The purpose of this work is to substantiate the need to develop a content and language integrated learning (CLIL) course in Russian as a foreign language, as well as the importance of organizing extracurricular activities in Russian for socio-cultural adaptation of foreign citizens in the system of secondary vocational education. The article analyzes the possibilities of expanding the modern Russian educational environment by updating the system of attracting foreign citizens to study in institutions of secondary vocational education as part of the task of increasing the number of foreign students. The scientific novelty lies in the substantiation and description of the conditions for the introduction of the CLIL method for teaching Russian as a foreign language, taking into account the profession being mastered, as well as the conditions for the effective organization of the educational environment (in terms of the implementation of extracurricular activities) in educational institutions of secondary vocational education. As a result of the study, statistical and scientific and methodological data on the problem under consideration are analyzed. The need to use the CLIL method for teaching Russian as a foreign language, taking into account the profession being mastered is argued. The creation of an educational environment in Russian for the socio-cultural adaptation of foreign students in vocational education is described. The development of new educational materials and methodological recommendations taking into account the integration of language teaching and specialty is justified.
