Non-Linguistic Students’ Satisfaction with Level-Based Foreign Language Teaching (by the Example of South Ural State University)

Abstract. The paper aims to identify the level of non-linguistic students’ satisfaction with level-based foreign language teaching on the basis of the blended learning model. The article examines the key aspects of the blended learning approach, emphasizes the role of the individual learning style, substantiates the necessity to take into account the initial level of first-year bachelors’ foreign-language competence. The authors analyse efficiency of level-based teaching, examine its influence on developing non-linguistic students’ foreign-language communicative competence, which constitutes scientific originality of the study. As a result, it is proved that the blended learning method helps to improve level-based learning outcomes, satisfies students’ educational needs.
