Features of Organising Distance Preparation for the Basic State Examination in English

Abstract. The study aims to identify the possibility and conditions for organising preparation for the Basic State Examination in English in the setting of distance learning using experimental means. The article considers the stages of distance learning formation and development, determines advantages and disadvantages of this type of educational process organisation. The authors present materials and results of a conducted pedagogical experiment on organisation of distance preparation for the Basic State Examination in English. Scientific novelty of the research: the authors have systematised the process of distance learning development, justified advantages and disadvantages of this form of educational process organisation, provided instructional guidelines and developed a course on organising distance preparation for the Basic State Examination in English. As a result, it is proved that distance learning technologies use can be effective in organising preparation for the Basic State Examination in English if certain requirements are met.
