Developing Social Intelligence among Schoolchildren with Special Educational Needs at Foreign Language Lessons

Abstract. The article tackles the problem of developing schoolchildren’s social intelligence under the conditions of inclusive education. Relevance of the study is determined by the fact that social intelligence is a basis of the personality’s self-realization and full social inclusion. The paper introduces a definition of the concept "inclusion", analyses the notion "social intelligence’, considers peculiarities of its development within the framework of foreign language education. The authors emphasize that foreign language lessons play the key role in the process of developing social intelligence among schoolchildren with special educational needs.
