Abstract. The article deals with musical lessons for preschool children as the main form of the organization of their musical activity. The process of the development of emotional responsiveness as the central link of preschool children’s mental life is covered and analyzed. The priority of music in this direction as one of the most emotional arts is justified, as well as the need for the organization of purposeful pedagogical work. The results of the conducted experiment confirming the effectiveness of pedagogical efforts in the solution of this problem are presented.
