E. A. PREOBRAZHENSKY ON SOME PROBLEMS OF ORGANIZING READING DIFFERENT LITERATURE BY GYMNASIUM PUPILS IN THE HANDWRITTEN MAGAZINE "SCHOOL LEISURE": ON THE HISTORY OF PEDAGOGICAL THOUGHT IN RUSSIA

Abstract. The article deals with the work of a pupil of Orel classical male gymnasium, later a famous figure in the communist movement E. A. Preobrazhensky "A few words about reading books" (1903), which appeared on the pages of the handwritten magazine "School leisure". Particular examples show that it is a valuable source on the theory of reading in the modern school, because it contains a number of practical tips which enable to organize systematic reading of literature by the younger generation.
