Abstract. The article reveals the importance of emotional development of primary school pupils. It shows the importance of a primary school teacher in the life of a child starting school. The future direction in educational, social and personal life of the pupil depends largely on his/her personality. The article also examines the complex psychological and personal changes occurring in connection with the child’ enrolling in the school which are characterized as a transitional stage in the change of the leading activity. At the same time, maintaining the activity of the previous period remains undeniable.
