Abstract. The article examines occupation policy of the German fascist authorities within the temporary occupied territory of Leningrad region in the first months of the Great Patriotic War. The authors pay special attention to the peculiarities of occupation policy in Leningrad region and, relying on archival documents and materials, analyze the Nazis’ activity in different regional districts that were occupied in the first months of the war. The authors identify the basic factors, which seemed to influence German occupation policy within the territory of Leningrad region.
