Abstract. The article examines the process of forming the image of a revolutionary in biographical and memoir literature created by different authors at different time periods, but with a single goal - preserving it as an imitation model for future generations. A conclusion is made about similarity of biographies of young Siberian revolutionaries with hagiographic literature, since both were written according to a generalized-typical scheme reflecting the life of a hero in line with dynamics of his approach to the highest goal. The formed images of heroes determined historical consciousness of the post-revolutionary era.
