GERMANY’S POLITICAL SPECTRUM BEFORE REICHSTAG ELECTIONS OF 1930 AND REACTION OF AMERICAN NEWSPAPERS ("NEW YORK TIMES" AND "CHICAGO TRIBUNE") TO SUCCESS OF THE NATIONAL SOCIALIST GERMAN WORKERS’ PARTY (NSDAP)

Abstract. The article is devoted to analyzing a domestic political scene in Germany before Reichstag elections of 1930. The author considers transformation of the National Socialist German Workers’ Party (NSDAP) from the small into a big one and identifies cause-effect relations developed during change of the NSDAP status on the domestic political scene. The American press ("New York Times" and "Chicago Tribune") comes out as an independent expert to evaluate the events occurred in Germany before the autumn of 1930, the election time.
