UNDERSTANDING CULTURE IN VARIOUS PHILOSOPHICAL MOVEMENTS

Abstract. In the article understanding of culture in various philosophical movements is considered, and the wide range of opinions on essence of the notion "culture" is presented. Particular attention is given to representatives of idealism, agnosticism, humanism, and romanticism. The author substantiates a thesis that the role and significance of culture in different philosophical movements depend on views on the human being, nature and science of representatives of each individual movement.
