CORPORALITY AS A KEY FEATURE OF RHYTHMIC OSTINATO IN ROCK MUSIC

Abstract. The article examines the corporality factor and its relation with the rhythmic ostinato phenomenon in rock music. The author emphasizes similarity of psycho-physiological qualities and the high level of rhythmicity of archaic musical strata and rock. Considering the fact that corporality as a characteristic of music depends directly on rhythmic ostinato, the paper concludes on its universal features, which in the XX century manifested themselves most clearly in rock music.
