CONCEPT "HEART" ("KOKORO") IN TRADITIONAL JAPANESE CULTURE: PHILOSOPHICAL AND CULTUROLOGICAL ANALYSIS

Abstract. The article is devoted to the philosophical and culturological analysis of the concept "kokoro" ("heart") in traditional Japanese culture conducted by the material of classical monuments of art, poetry and literature. As a result of the study the author comes to the conclusion that the concept "kokoro" in Japanese traditional culture was considered not only as emotional content of the work, but had deep ontological and epistemological meanings as a symbol of universal connectedness of things.
