CHANGE IN STRATEGY AND TACTICS OF THE PALESTINIAN RESISTANCE MOVEMENT ON THE PROBLEMS OF BUILDING THE PALESTINIAN STATE IN THE 1970S

Abstract. The article deals with the main strategic and tactical approaches of the Palestinian resistance movement (PRM) in the 1970s to the problem of formation of the Palestinian state. The author reveals controversial issues concerning the territory for the future Palestinian state and grounds the new PRM approach to the Palestinian problem, which consisted in the search for compromise settlement that corresponded to the real situation in the region. The project on the formation of independent Palestine lay in phased liberation of all the Palestinian land and in non-recognition of the State of Israel.
