Abstract. The article is devoted to developmental history of Veerashaivism as a factor influencing modern interpretation of Dvaitadvaita philosophical conceptions. The paper examines the results of 2011 expedition of the Centre for Religious Studies of the Russian State University for the Humanities in Northern India. Special attention is paid to investigating the places and practices of worshipping the gods in Nila-Rangma tradition. Relying on the research findings the author suggests a hypothesis of Veerashaivism origin and development. The participant observation method, the oral text analysis supported by new historical sources allowed the author to form a scientific basis for more objective interpretation of Dvaitadvaita philosophy.
